They are diluted in varying percentages of alcohol and then sit for 30 days (according to HPUS standard). Tinctures have crude material in them and therefore may not be safe for oral consumption. What is a Mother Tincture? - A Mother Tincture is a tincture diluted 1X times. Uses for tinctures vary depending on directions from a licensed practitioner. They can also be used to make remedies at home (at your own risk). We also offer amber vials and unmedicated pills for homemade remedies.
